Mireille Blaess, PhD

 

As VP Human Capital, Mireille is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive and integrated HR strategy at VCLS to support the company’s strategic plan. This includes working in close partnership with the CEO, the Executive Committee members, and across all departments to establish, foster, position, and reinforce a positive cultural environment for employees.

Mireille brings to the role more than 30 years of experience in HR, gained through working as a generalist and a specialist at both the subsidiary and corporate level in different business sectors and within different intercultural contexts in many countries and across different management styles.

Her expertise covers talent development, evaluation, compensation and benefits, Corporate Social Responsibility, internal communication, and team management, and she has considerable experience of process alignment and harmonization, coaching and developing best practices, employee engagement, global efficiency, and employer brand image. At the corporate level, from an HR perspective, she has managed the M&A strategy and the successful integration of new companies.

Prior to joining VCLS, Mireille has held a variety of senior HR positions, having worked for McKesson and in the automotive, retail and luxury goods industries.

In addition, Mireille brings to the role significant expertise gained as a lecturer for several business schools and universities, presenting on HR and management topics. She is also a member of a number of strategic committees within the educational sector, and she continues to contribute to books and articles on HR and management.

Mireille holds a PhD/Doctorat in “Management Sciences on the High Potential”. More recently, she obtained an independent Board Member certification from ESSEC Business School in France.

Mireille is based in the Boulogne office in France.
