RARE DISEASE DAY
With a low prevalence, rare diseases affect six to eight percent of the population worldwide and therefore represent a global public health concern.
To raise awareness among policymakers and the public about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives, Rare Disease Day® takes place worldwide, typically on or near the last day of February each year.
We at VCLS are fully aware of the challenges of therapeutic development of rare diseases and are always devoted to accelerating orphan drug development and making it accessible for patients.
