The 2016 Women In Industry Awards (Trophées des femmes de l’industrie), conferred by the French business and technology magazine “L’Usine Nouvelle” on 20 September, were awarded to eleven women who have forged outstanding careers and who, day after day, contribute to the development of French industry through their work in research, production, innovation or entrepreneurship.
The jury awarded Dr. Emmanuelle M. Voisin, CEO of VCLS, for the “Woman Entrepreneur” category. This special prize of Woman Entrepreneur is typically awarded to a visionary woman entrepreneur whose strategies and guidelines are extremely pertinent for the development of the business.This year’s Women In Industry awards concerned 30 different career paths: women working in project management, innovation, commerce, R&D, production, the digital economy, sustainable development or international activities, female entrepreneurs and women with a promising future.
By giving Dr. Emmanuelle Voisin “Woman Entrepreneur of the Year”, the jury wished to acknowledge Dr. Voisin’s atypical career path: through diverse academic and industry positions across Europe and the USA, notably as reviewer with the FDA, Dr. Voisin gained unique expertise and experience to create Voisin Consulting Life Science to help biopharmaceutical and medical device companies accelerate on their product development journey.
