MedEngine welcomes a new CEO: Jan Hellqvist
Paris, France, January 12th, 2026
We are excited to share that Jan Hellqvist is joining MedEngine as our new CEO, as our long-standing CEO and founder Tero Ylisaukko-oja has decided to transition out of the role.
MedEngine was founded in 2014 to combine scientific expertise and business understanding with a creative flair. Over the past 12 years, MedEngine has grown into a Nordic leader in real-world evidence, market access, medical affairs, and commercial services.
With Jan Hellqvist joining as CEO, MedEngine is entering a new chapter. Jan brings more than 30 years of experience in the life sciences, spanning pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and senior leadership roles, including CEO and board positions. His work has often focused on building, scaling, and restructuring growing organizations.

As we welcome Jan, we also want to acknowledge Tero’s role in building MedEngine from the ground up.
