Hatch-Waxman act

Hatch-Waxman Act is a legislation designed to make generic drugs more widely available and provide incentives for pioneer companies to develop new drugs; allows generic companies to begin developing products prior to innovator product patent expiration (also know as the Drug Price Competition and Patient Term Restoration Act of 1984).
