Digital Marketing Manager | Paris

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of client-centric marketing campaigns on our digital channels, including websites, social media, emails, etc. to generate qualified leads and to further strengthen VCLS’ reputation as a leading life science consulting firm. To be successful in this role, you are required to have both marketing knowledge and relevant technical skills.

This person will collaborate closely with internal partners in marketing, BD, Subject Matter Experts, as well as working with external vendors to deliver real business results and to elevate the profile of the company worldwide. This role reports to Marketing Director and is based at our headquarter in Boulogne, Paris.

You are familiar with the overall B2B digital marketing strategy, including lead generation, nurturing, UX, SEO, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube), emailing, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead website revamp project with the assistance from external web agency.
  • Website update and optimization. Plan and produce web pages in alignment with VCLS guidelines to support marketing programs. Ongoing content update and maintenance to ensure its effectiveness and freshness.
  • Define the SEO approach and provide guidance throughout the content production and integration process. Optimizing SEO by researching keywords, link building, copy/content improvement and other factors.
  • Track and report on all site metrics through Google Analytics and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and execute all aspects of email marketing campaigns, including development (design and formatting), campaign set-up, list implementation, A/B testing and post-campaign analysis and reporting.
  • Company social media account management, including developing visual content (images and videos).
  • Create, measure and maintain marketing metrics dashboards that track marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide support for other marketing initiatives and special projects as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent level of English (native speaker is a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing (either in-house or agency, B2B preferred) including website launch experience.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Hands-on experience on website content update (WordPress), with working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Strong knowledge of SEO tools
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Constant Contact required
  • Familiarity with Adobe products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), good image and video editing skills
  • Strong organizational, project and time management skills with attention to detail required
  • Self-starter, hands-on style, willing to “dig in”
